this as the title states is a re-do of my dark evolutions for Sableye. Sableye is one of my favorite Pokemon and I have always wanted to see an evolution for it.
Quartzis and Diador evolve so late because they have much higher stats proportionately than a good number of Pokemon. Diador is in the legendary stat class or just a hair below. The later evolutions are very slow but very powerful. Also there is another condition to the evolution. It has to hate you. Due to this the Pokemon's ability is that it completely out of your control. This makes up for the fact that you can have multiple, it's stats are so high, and since it is a dark ghost it has no weaknesses.
Both Quarzis and Diador have never been seen in the natural world because very few exist naturally. They used to be common and good but once certain people figured out the value of the crystals in their bodies and their strange properties they hunted them practically to extinction. They still harbor a great hate twords humans and never evolve unless absolutely necessary.
Very creative here. But, I have a few problems with this. I know it's really old, but I still have problems.
1. Sableye has high speed -Not really too major of a concern, but consider the fact that most pokemon actually retain their base stat distribution through evolution.
2. Sableye is based off of the Hopkinsville Goblins, a Kentucky alien sighting that's incredibly popular in Japan -Because of this, I'd expect a Sableye evo to develop into something incredibly fast and slender (A reference to the actual notes on the sighting), not a slow moving, subterranean lizard-beast.
I realize that it's probably redundant to have these concerns attached to a piece that's 6 years old, but still.

well done
However, to be completely honest, I think I like the design of the original from 2006. Still neat design.
